健康な身体と病気の身体は何が違うのでしょうか。その答えを知るために、正常な細胞と、がん細胞など異常になった細胞の遺伝子発現ネットワークを解析し、遺伝子の発現異常が疾患に関わる仕組みを明らかにします。また、次世代シーケンサーによって得られるデータを用いた画期的な解析技術の開発、疾患を早期に発見するためのバイオマーカーの探索、ゲノムデータを活用して生命活動を統合的に理解する手法の開発を行います。
