伊藤細胞制御化学研究室

糖タンパク質、糖脂質等はそれらの構成成分として糖が連なった糖鎖と呼ばれる部分を有しています。糖鎖は細胞間の認識、分化や癌化と密接に関連していることが知られていますが、それ以外にもタンパク質の活性制御、安定化、フォールディング、分解過程においても重要な役割を担っていることが明らかになりつつあります。複雑で多様性に富んだ糖鎖の構築は有機合成化学の見地から興味深い課題であるのみならず、新たなタイプの生体情報分子として生物との境界領域の研究対象としても注目されています。これらの背景をもとに複合糖質、特に糖タンパク関連分子の精密合成、それに関連する分子プローブの創製に有効な方法論の開拓を中心に研究を行っています。さらに、人工糖タンパク質の創製による糖鎖の機能解明、抗ウィルス活性を持つ糖鎖分子の特異的認識機構の解明、生体機能性多糖の合成研究などを行なっています。
