高木磁性研究室

固体中の互いに強く絡み合う電子(強相関電子)が演出する多彩な電子相、たとえば新奇な超伝導・量子磁性などを開拓し、その背後にある基礎学理を解明します。当面の研究の舞台はd軌道やf軌道の電子が主役を担う遷移金属酸化物や希土類化合物などです。強相関電子系の特徴的な物性である磁性の枠にとどまらず、磁性と伝導性、結晶格子効果などが競合/協奏して生じる複合的かつより高度な電子相・機能に重点を置いて研究を進めていきます。物性・機能開拓、学理解明と並行して、電子相の局所磁性や電子状態を探るための計測技術の開発を行っています。
