古崎物性理論研究室

マクロな大きさをもった物質の示すいろいろな性質を、ミクロな世界を司る物理法則にもとづいて理論的に解明することを目指して研究しています。多数の電子が相関をもって運動している多電子系では、自発的に対称性の破れた秩序相の出現やそれらの間の相転移などの多彩な物理現象を示します。遷移金属・希土類酸化物や分子性導体などの強相関電子系における超伝導や磁性はその典型例であり、これらの量子現象の理解は研究室の主要研究課題の一つです。最近は、三角・籠目・パイロクロア格子上の反強磁性体などのフラストレーションの強い量子スピン系における非自明な秩序状態やスピン液体状態についての研究に加えて、トポロジカル絶縁体やトポロジカル超伝導体といった新しい量子相の研究を行っています。さらに、ナノメートル程度の大きさのメゾスコピック系における量子現象や、ランダム系の統計物理学について研究を行います。
