科学政策・倫理研究ユニット

幹細胞研究はその科学的重要性に加え、医療応用への期待と商業的価値を兼ね備えているが故に社会的な関心事となっています。一方で、ヒト胚の研究利用といった倫理的・社会的課題や、基礎研究から臨床応用に至るプロセスの最適化といった法的・政策的課題も山積しています。この研究ユニットでは、これらの課題に対する各国の政策を比較研究し、最適な規制の枠組みを見出すことを目指しています。特にアジア太平洋地域におけるヒト幹細胞研究・再生医療研究に着目し、社会的・倫理的観点から分析します。
