象徴概念発達研究チーム

道具やビデオシステムなどを使うように訓練したニホンザルの行動学的および電気生理学的解析を軸として、ヒトの知的高次認知機能の進化的基盤を構成すると考えられる身体の構造や運動に立脚した象徴概念形成、推論/論理思考などの萌芽的機能のシステム神経科学的解析を行います。また、他主体の意図や主体間相互関係の理解による利他的社会行動を創発するメカニズムの認知神経科学的研究を行い、ヒトの集団行動や知的文明環境の特性を決定する神経基盤の解明に挑みます。さらに、霊長類進化の過程で、ヒト脳がこれらの能力を獲得するに至った分子遺伝学的メカニズムを、小型霊長類モデルを開発して明らかにするとともに、現在から未来に亘る文明環境の下でのヒトの高次認知機能の発現様式に対するその影響や、これらの機能のヒト生後発達の脳内機構の解明を目指します。
