認知機能表現研究チーム

認識、意志決定などの高次脳機能の脳内メカニズムを明らかにするため、霊長類実験動物にいろいろな認知的行動課題を訓練し、特定の脳部位あるいは結合の機能ブロックの影響を見たり、課題遂行中に単一神経細胞活動記録を行う実験と、4テスラMRI装置でヒト被験者の脳活動を非侵襲的に記録する実験を行っています。側頭連合野における物体の視覚的認識のメカニズムと前頭連合野における目的指向的行動のメカニズムが中心テーマです。ヒトでの研究結果と実験動物における研究結果を結びつけるために、機能的MRI測定の空間分解能を高める技術開発にも力を注いでいます。
