実験植物開発室

当室は文部科学省ナショナルバイオリソースプロジェクト（NBRP）「シロイヌナズナ／植物培養細胞・遺伝子」の中核機関にも選定され、モデル実験植物、シロイヌナズナを中心に、植物種子、植物遺伝子材料、及び植物培養細胞の収集、保存、増殖、検査、提供に関わる業務を行っております。また、これらの生物遺伝資源（バイオリソース）を長期保存し有効利用するための技術開発、及びリソースの付加価値向上や新規リソースの確立につながる技術開発を遂行します。更に技術研修や広報活動にも積極的に取り組むなど、研究機関整備に関わる広範な活動をしております。基盤整備により植物研究が促進されることで、人間社会が抱える食料や環境、物質生産に関わる課題の解決につながることが期待されます。
