慶應－理研 人間知性研究センター（CHC）第3回国際シンポジウムを開催
－「Toward Sustainable Social Systems（持続可能な社会システムの構築を目指して）」－
慶應義塾大学（清家篤塾長）と独立行政法人理化学研究所（野依良治理事長）は、2008年12月に締結した包括協定に基づく連携活動として、「人間知性の解明研究」に共同で取り組んでおり、その主たる活動の場として「慶應－理研 人間知性研究センター」を設立し、共同研究を行っています。このセンターは、人間を人間たらしめている「知性」を、生物学的基礎から文化的背景、さらにその将来に至るまで幅広い視点から世界的規模で研究し、現代の人間に関する諸問題の解決に役立てようとするものです。
第3回となる今回のシンポジウムは、「持続可能な社会システムの構築を目指して」と題して、12月14日(月)、15日（火）に開催します。世界の先進的研究機関であり、複雑系をテーマとした研究を行っている米国のサンタフェ研究所、オランダのパラリムス研究所、シンガポールのナンヤン工科大学と連携し、これを機会に、人間知性に根ざした持続可能で豊かな未来世界を構築するための、研究者の世界的ネットワーク構築を目指します。なお、当シンポジウムは広く一般に公開します。
