RIKEN extends its heartfelt sympathy to the victims of the Tohoku Earthquake and to their families.
The earthquake and subsequent tsunami have caused major damage to the universities and research institutions in the Tohoku area and parts of the Kanto region, with significant ramifications for scientific research throughout Japan. In an effort to minimize the detrimental effects on the progress of science and technology, RIKEN has launched the following support activities to provide needed research infrastructure and resources.
