6th Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Contribution Award to
ASI Chief Scientist Akihiko Nakano

ASI Chief Scientist Akihiko Nakano was recently presented with the SCJ President Award, one of the 6th Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Contribution Awards for his work in developing a real-time 3D microscopic system and live imaging studies of intracellular membrane dynamics. He shares the award with Dr. Kenta Mikuriya, General Manager of the Target Costing Technology Solution Center, Design to Cost Engineering Headquarters, Yokogawa Electric Corporation, and Dr. Kenkichi Tanioka, Director General of the Science & Technical Research Laboratories, Japan Broadcasting Corporation. A presentation ceremony was held in Kyoto on June 14.
