Using unique processing technologies developed in RIKEN, the research group promotes an establishment of fabrication technologies for creating key parts and infrastructure technology development. Using the nano-precision machining process technologies that are continually being improved through intensive R&D and which form our primary focus, we intend to integrate a series of essential process technologies, such as new surface modifying/processing methods, ultra-precise processing methods, micro-tools and micro-pattern fabrication, into our components. By using these integrated technologies, we aim to develop functional elements such as optical ones and modules for sensing and measurement and to create next-generation key components.
