Injection of 4MeV He ions into a droplet of liquid scintillator through a few μm thick glass window at the top of a tapered glass capillary directly connected to an accelerator beamline. This technique opens for the first time, e.g., to make a pin-point irradiation on one of living organelles and to induce chemical reactions in a sub-micron region of a liquid-surface interface.
