Research Areas

In order to meet requirement from researchers at Riken, our section carries out following tasks. Design and manufacturing of experimental apparatus, determination of elemental and structural composition of synthesized, natural, and biological materials, and analyses of their surfaces and interfaces, development of new detecting method of living cell structures and 4D image processing, and development for ultra high precision/micro fabrication technologies and their application to advanced scientific devices. Research and development of above technologies are achieved by the collaboration with universities and industries. Developed computer programs are on the download site and any one can access freely through internet.
The maintenance of scientific devices used by all Riken researchers is also our task.
