Transcriptional regulation by a transcription factors network plays central roles in regulating development of multicellular organisms. The aim of our researches in the laborastory for transcriptional regulation is to understand transcriptional regulations that govern genetic programming of lymphocyte development. In particular, we will focus on functions of Runx transcription factor family and mechanisms of silencer-mediated gene repression. Finally, we wish to apply our findings to develop new technology that will be applied to control human diseases.
