Research Areas

It is indispensable to understand regulatory network from gene expression to protein and secondary metabolite production systematically, to improve the plant's productivity and adaptability to environment.
Our group will perform the plant functional genomic research that is fundamental for all plant research through the analysis of useful traits of crops, and develop and use of new genome analysis technologies.

  2. Innovation of gene function characterization technologies using full-length cDNAs
  3. Analysis of gene regulatory network through research of transcriptional control
  4. Research on plant-specific morphogenesis and environmental responses
