Research Areas

We investigate neural dynamics mediating adaptive and emergent brain functions. Specifically, we focus on functional roles of synchronous neural oscillations in perceptual, motor, cognitive, and communication processes in humans. We take manipulative approaches such as TMS (Transcranial magnetic stimulation)-EEG (Electroencephalography) and neurofeedback to show causal roles of rhythmic neural activities in brain functions and will find extensive applications of our approaches for stoke rehabilitation.

Research Subject

  1. Manipulatitve approaches to functional roles of synchronous neural oscillations
  2. Brain Imaging and cognitive studies on the human communication
  3. Working memory, its neural dynamics and cognitive control
