Research Areas

Terahertz (THz) wave is characterized by its moderate transparency for various soft materials as well as the presence of specific absorption spectra (fingerprint spectra). These characteristics can be utilized for various researches and industrial applications. This team focuses on the research and developments of novel THz sensing and imaging technologies. In particular, the team focuses its efforts on the development of the utilization of the properties as both waves and light, high-precision and advanced THz sensing, imaging and spectroscopy technologies, and their applications of novel non-destructive diagnostics.
