Development of a safe, green, simple, easy, and prompt chemical process producing a desired compound with high efficiency and selectivity is an important goal in synthetic organic chemistry of next generation. To accomplish the goal, 'Green Nanocatalysis Research Team' explores novel catalytic systems operating synergistically. Thus, this team targets eagerly awaited yet immature (1) catalytic molecular transformations in water under heterogeneous conditions, (2) versatile and environmentally benign catalytic reactions, (3) instantaneous catalytic molecular transforming systems, through, in addition to minute structural design of molecular catalysts, synergistic reaction driving/controlling with cooperation of the catalysts with reaction media and/or reaction equipments.
- Construction of new catalytic reaction fields via molecular self-assembly
- Instantaneous organic transformations with microchannel reactors
- Development of nanometal aquacatalysts
