Research Areas

The Nanoscience Joint Laboratory is established as the central facilities in Emergent Materials Department for research activity of nano-meter scale materials. Its missions are to produce great progress in field of Nano-Science and to promote multi-disciplinary collaboration between research groups relevant in RIKEN. The Laboratory equips a clean room and chemical rooms for micro-and nano-scale fabrication as well as for characterization system of fabricated specimens. It also provides experimental space with electric-magnetic shield and anti-vibration system. The Laboratory accampanies the Development and Support Team which provides technical expertise, educates the users and maintains the facilities.
