Seeking Senior Research Scientist, Research Scientist
Research Department RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science invites applications for the positions of Senior Research Scientist, Research Scientist, Emergent Device Research Team. Applications from overseas are welcome.(Team Leader : Yoshihiro Iwasa )
Job Description Center for Emergent Matter Science (Center Director : Dr. Yoshinori Tokura) is a new strategic research center launched in April 1st, 2013. The center aims at constructing a novel condensed matter science and contributing fundamentally toward realization of an environmentally benign, sustainable society which is recognized as the world-wide problem.
Emergent Device Research Team (Team Leader: Dr. Yoshihiro Iwasa) is going to search for new phenomena such as external field induced phase transitions and electric field control of spin polarizations in various interfaces and devices based on organic-inorganic heterostructures. Also, the team aims at construction of the low-energy dissipation devices.
To perform above researches, the Emergent Device Research Team invites applications for researcher (senior research scientist, research scientist). Senior research scientists are the research scientists who have distinguished achievements and ability.
Available Positions and Qualifications Senior research scientist or research scientist: 1

Applicants for researcher (senior research scientist and research scientist) must have doctoral degree.
Location RIKEN, 2-1 Hirosawa, Wako-shi, Saitama, Japan 351-0198
Remuneration Full-time position with an annually renewable contract (maximum 5 years) based on the evaluation. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Commuting and housing allowances will be provided. Social insurance will be applied. Mandatory membership in the RIKEN Mutual Benefit Society (RIKEN Kyosaikai). Days off includes public holidays, New Year's holidays (Dec. 29 - Jan 3), and RIKEN Foundation Day.
These and other provisions are in accordance with RIKEN regulations.
Also, eligible for an exemption from repayment for category 1 scholarship loans provided by the Japan Student Services Organization before fiscal year 2003, and eligible applying for the MEXT Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Kakenhi).
