RTC was launched in August 2007 as a collaboration between RIKEN and Tokai Rubber Industries, Ltd, with the aim to conduct research and development on robots for advanced patient care support. See: http://rtc.nagoya.riken.jp/
The Robot Control Research Team is dedicated to research and development for weight reduction and increased power of the structure, preventive control of gaps or dropping while moving patients and operational enhancements based on the prediction of caregiver and patient behavior in order to ensure safety, security, and comfort. |

| Salary |
Full-time position with an annually renewable contract (effective until project completion) renewable until March 31, 2015, based on the evaluation. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Commuting and housing allowances will be provided. Social insurance will be applied. Mandatory membership in the RIKEN Mutual Benefit Society (RIKEN Kyosaikai). Days off include public holidays, New Year's holidays (Dec. 29 - Jan 3), and RIKEN Foundation Day. These and other provisions are in accordance with RIKEN regulations. Researcher only Also, eligible for an exemption from repayment for category 1 scholarship loans provided by the Japan Student Services Organization before fiscal year 2003, and eligible applying for the MEXT Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Kakenhi). |
