1. Ph. D. in relevant research areas of synchrotron x-rays, experimental condensed matter physics, biophysics, x-ray optics, or phase retrieval, etc.
2. Experience in independent research and demonstrated excellence 3. Intercommunication skills to work in collaborative research environments 4. Self-motivated with strong interest in developing new imaging methodology by using next generation light sources. |

| Salary and benefits |
Full-time position with an annually renewable contract based on evaluation.
A new contract will not be entered into after the employee's assigned laboratory closes Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Commuting and housing allowances will be provided. Days off includes public holidays, New Year's holidays (Dec. 29 - Jan 3), and RIKEN Foundation Day. These and other provisions are in accordance with RIKEN regulations. Mandatory membership in the RIKEN Mutual Benefit Society (RIKEN Kyosaikai). |
