Seeking Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Scientist, (or Senior Scientist)
Laboratory Computational Biophysics Research Team, RIKEN Advanced Institute for Computational Science
(Team Leader: Dr. Yuji SUGITA)
Research Field We develop novel algorithms and software of molecular dynamics simulations to use K computer efficiently. In our developments, multi-scale/multi-resolution methods and the generalized-ensemble algorithms are included. We also collaborate with other research teams in RIKEN ASI to realize high performance computing in molecular dynamics simulations.
Job title and Job description [Title] Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Scientist, (or Senior Scientist), a few people
[Description] We are seeking highly motivated and experienced researchers to join our projects. The specific research issues are
1. Development of software for free-energy calculations based on molecular dynamics simulations
2. Development of novel algorithms in molecular dynamics simulations, in particular, new conformational sampling methods like the generalized-ensemble methods
3. Development of multi-scale/multi-resolution simulation methods
Qualifications This position requires a PhD in a related research field. If it has been 5 years or less since their acquisition of Ph.D. degree, they will be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow and for more than 5 years, as a Research Scientist. If their research capability and achievements are considered as relatively high, they may be employed as a Senior Scientist. Experiences in the development for high-performance computing in molecular dynamics simulations or ab initio electrostatic calculations (including QM/MM calculations) are highly desired. The candidate should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other research staff in the research group. The research environment will be international and hence communication in English is required.
Work location Particle Systems Computational Biophysics Research Team is located in following address.
