AICS is the organization which has two major divisions, one for research and development of computational science and the other for operation of the K supercomputer. AICS cooperates with many research organizations of a wide-range of research fields, forms an international center for research and development, and plays the leading role of computational science in Japan. In AICS, computer science and computational science closely cooperate, and conducts research and development of common foundational nature for a wide range of fields in computational science, and also conducts research and development for high performance computing technologies.
We develop novel algorithms and software for particle-based simulations to use K computer efficiently. In particular, we establish the efficient parallelization scheme to be used on K, and develop a software framework based on that scheme. http://labs.aics.riken.jp/makino_e.html |
