Types of donations

A Designated donations

Designated donations allow donors to specify which research activities the donated money will be used for.
Designated donations may be made by individuals or corporations.

e.g.) Donations for the development of a specific new technology or for research into a specific disease. You may specify the name of the laboratory or researcher to whom the funds will be allocated.

B Solicited donations

Solicited donations are an opportunity for RIKEN to seek support for a specific purpose, such as the organization of an international conference.
Solicited donations may be made by individuals or corporations.

e.g.) Organizing an international conference, offering a summer school as part of an international exchange activity, or the maintenance or establishment of an exhibition facility.

C General donations

General donations are used to drive forward science and raise the standard of technology research in Japan.
