Unit Leader: Takuya Hayashi (M.D., Ph.D)
Using advanced dynamic imaging techniques, we will clarify the interconnections among organs or cells, which are involved in maintaining homeostasis in the body. We specially focus on the unique feature of nervous system—a network architecture and its activity that contribute to neural plasticity and regeneration. We also try to understand pathomechanism underlining central nervous system disorders, such as neurodegenerative disease and addiction.
