RIKEN SNS
The RIKEN SNS (Social Networking Service) is a tool for current and former RIKEN personnel. When you register a RIKEN SNS account (free), you can create your own exclusive page, read and post comments on journals etc. that have been published within the SNS, as well as post opinions and exchange information within the communities that you are interested in.
You can choose to display the menus in either English or Japanese, and depending on the settings of the computer you are using, you can post content in either language. You can also create communities for each research center, lab, team, unit etc., or for a club or for your own individual interests.
Anyone who is currently working at RIKEN or who has worked at RIKEN in the past is eligible. However, contract staff who do not fall under the authority of the Personnel Division may not use the RIKEN SNS. If you have a @riken.jp email address can register at any time by submitting this form.

RIKEN Alumni Email Address
The RIKEN alumni email service is a free mail-forwarding service for people who have worked at RIKEN in the past. You can receive emails at this address, but not send emails from this address. Emails will be automatically forwarded to your registered email address.
Anyone who has worked at RIKEN in the past is eligible for an alumni email address. However, contract staff who do not fall under the authority of the Personnel Division are not eligible.
